I have to say Stephanie this is the best ultra running blog I have read and you are soooooo inspiring. Well done on all your achievements. I was all set to do race around the planet but was diagnosed with sesamoiditis of the tibial sesamoid which is the one you got taken out. I am being operated on next month for the same procedure as yours and am desperate to run again. I would love to know what your recovery was like and how long until you could run again and are you pain free.
You probably dont have time to answer silly questions like these but blogs like yours and books like born to run keep me motivated whilst i sit on the lounge chair dreaming of one day to be out there again.
Cheers Anthony
Hey Anthony!! Thanks so much for those kind words! Arg, right now I feel anything less than inspiring… but it is nice to know people are reading! I have to admit, it has been really tough getting through this foot surgery. I know I’ll get there, but patience isn’t my strong suit
I’d be more than happy to chat with you about my recovery over email – drop me a line! stephanie.case@yahoo.com. It’s tough going, but you’ll get through it!! I’d love to help if I can. And yes, I always have time – it isn’t silly at all.
Nice Website Stephanie, very down to earth, with some useful links for the aspiring wannabe ultra-runner like myself. You have some nice races under your belt…mights see you on a race one day…do you have a boyfriend..(joke). M
